Itinerary
Day 1: KUALA LUMPUR - BAKU
Assemble at KL International Airport for your flight to the Caucasus.
Day 2: BAKU ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, meet the guide and transfer to hotel for check-in. After lunch, begin a panoramic city tour visiting Upland Park, Flame Towers, Baku Boulevard, Daniz Mall and lastly proceed to Little Venice. Dinner at local restaurant and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3: BAKU - GOBUSTAN - MUD VOLCANOES
Breakfast at hotel. Visit Gobustan, newly built Hi-Tect museum and Mud Volcanoes. Continue to Bibi-Heybat Mosque, then lunch at local restaurant. Afterwards, city tour including the Old Town, Palace of Shirvanshahs (photo stop), Maiden Tower and Caravanserai. Next to Nizami Street, ending with Heydar Aliyev Centre (photo stop). Dinner and transfer overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: BAKU - SHAMAKHI - SHEKI
Breakfast and check-out. We will proceed with our new journey by stopping at Shamakha to visit Juma Mosque, Sheki Khans’ palace (photo stop), traditional silk shop, local Halva shop and explore the historic Caravanserai. Continue to Sheki. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at hotel.
Day 5: SHEKI - LAGODEKHI BORDER - TBILISI
Check-out from hotel and start sightseeing tour in Sheki. Visit Sheki medieval fortress, local history museum, handicrafts workshop, mosque-madrassah, and local bazaar. Afterwards, cross the border and meet your Georgian guide. Dinner and overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 6: TBILISI - MTSKHETA - TBILISI
Breakfast at hotel. City tour of Tbilisi covering Old & New Tbilisi street. In Old and New street you will see Narikala Fortress, Metekhi Church, Anchiskhati and Sioni Churches, Sulphur Bath District, Chardin Street, Peace Bridge, Holy Trinity Cathedral and Freedom Square. Then have lunch and continue to Mtskheta to visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Jvari Monastery. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: TBILISI – GUDAURI – KAZBEGI – DARIAL GORGE – TBILISI
Breakfast at a hotel. Travel along Georgian Military Highway with photo stops at Zhinvali Reservoir, Ananuri Fortress, Gudauri Resort and stop for panoramic Friendship Monument. Cross Scenic Jvari Pass to Stepantsminda. Continue on 4x4 to the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church and admire Mt. Kazbek. Continue to Darial Gorge and Archangel Monastery. Have lunch, then return to Tbilisi for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: TBILISI – LAKE SEVAN – YEREVAN
Breakfast and check-out. Transfer to Georgian–Armenian border Sadakhlo. Visit UNESCO Haghpat Monastery, Medieval Monastic Complex, Lake Sevan and Sevanavank Monastery. Continue to dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: YEREVAN – GARNI – GEGHARD
Breakfast at hotel. Yerevan city tour including Republic Square, Northern Avenue, Opera House, Swan Lake and Cascade Monument. Continue to Garni Pagan Temple and Symphony of Stones. Proceed to Geghard Monastery (UNESCO). Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10: YEREVAN – DILIJAN – TBILISI
Breakfast and check-out. Drive to Dilijan, known as “Little Switzerland of Armenia.” Continue back to Georgia. Dinner and overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 11: TBILISI – KUALA LUMPUR
Breakfast at hotel and check-out. Transfer to the airport for the departure flight home. Arrive in Kuala Lumpur with sweet memories of Caucausus with Via Vacation and Travel Sdn Bhd.
